/ Adv. Beginners)
Tango Fundamentals: Posture, connection, walking, the embrace
and introduction to partnering skills, musicality and basic
figures such as caminata, cruzada,
contrapaso, corridas, ochos & molinete (walk,
walk to the cross, parallel and cross-systems, double time
runs, figure eights and turns).

PM Pasadas, Mordidas & Barridas (Intermediate)
Incorporate
pasadas (passes) mordidas, ("bites" or sandwiches)
and barridas (sweeps) into social tango. Explore improvisational
possibilities and musical dynamics. Pre-requisite:
3 Basic series or equivalent.
THURSDAYS (1/19 - 2/23)
6:45 - 8:45 PM Close Embrace Intensive (Adv.
Beginners / Intermediate)
Refine the technique for dancing "apilado"
in which partners share the same axis. This style
is commonly danced in Buenos Aires and among experienced
dancers. Focus on alignment, a dynamic and musical connection,
and classic figures. Discover hidden techniques for how
to dance close with enjoyment and ease. Pre-requisite:
2 Basic series.

Blue Tango reserves the right to cancel undersubscribed classes.
To
protect floors, please bring clean non-street shoes (suede or
leather bottom) or socks to class.
Private
Lessions
Private lessons are invaluable for improving one's
dance. They are specific to the individual and time efficient.
Contact Hsueh-tze to schedule. Cancellation policy: 24-hour
notice is required to avoid penalty (except for medical emergencies).
